1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of Warlords at the Gate: Tower Defense (the "Game") and this official website (the "Website"). By downloading, purchasing, installing, accessing, or using the Game, you agree to these Terms and to the applicable terms of the store or platform through which you obtained it.
If you are not legally able to enter this agreement, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms for you. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.
2. Purchase, payment, and refunds
The Game is sold as a paid product without advertising or in-app purchases. The applicable storefront processes payment, taxes, delivery, and refunds under its own terms and local law. Refund requests must be submitted through the store where the Game was purchased.
3. License
Subject to these Terms and the applicable platform rules, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Game for private, non-commercial entertainment on supported devices linked to your lawful store account. The Game is licensed, not sold, and no ownership of its intellectual property is transferred to you.
4. Acceptable use
You may not:
- copy, sell, sublicense, rent, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Game except where applicable law expressly permits;
- circumvent entitlement checks, access controls, security measures, or platform restrictions;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works except where applicable law expressly grants that right;
- extract or reuse game assets, music, code, characters, levels, or branding outside the Game;
- use cheats, automation, or modified software to interfere with the intended operation of the Game; or
- use the Website or support channels to transmit unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive material.
5. Health, safety, and play space
Virtual and mixed reality may cause discomfort, eyestrain, nausea, disorientation, or loss of balance. Follow the safety instructions supplied with your headset, use a clear play area, remain aware of people and objects around you, and stop immediately if you feel unwell. The Game is designed for stationary seated or standing play and does not replace the headset's boundary or guardian system.
6. Saves, availability, and updates
Progress and settings are primarily stored locally. Deleting the Game, clearing application data, replacing a device, or a storage failure may remove local progress. Availability of platform backups, achievements, entitlements, or other platform features depends on the relevant provider.
The Game may receive updates that fix defects, improve compatibility, rebalance gameplay, or add, alter, or remove features. Support for devices, operating-system versions, storefronts, or online platform services may change when reasonably necessary for security, compatibility, legal compliance, or continued operation.
7. Intellectual property
The Game, Website, software, designs, levels, characters, artwork, audio, text, branding, and related materials are owned by or licensed to the developer and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Third-party technology and assets remain subject to their respective licenses. Platform names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and do not imply endorsement.
8. Third-party platforms
The Game may rely on PICO, Meta, Steam, OpenXR, device operating systems, or other third-party services for distribution, entitlement, input, achievements, or platform functions. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. The developer is not responsible for a third-party service outside the developer's control.
9. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how information is processed by the Game and Website and forms part of these Terms.
Accepting these Terms or playing the Game is not consent to optional analytics. In a version that offers GameAnalytics reporting, eligible players receive a separate privacy choice. Declining or withdrawing that choice does not limit access to the Game or remove progress.
10. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Game and Website are provided "as is" and "as available." The developer does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every headset configuration, or permanent availability of third-party services. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the Game or Website, loss of local save data, or interruption of a third-party platform. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including any mandatory consumer protection that applies in your country.
12. Suspension and termination
Your license may be suspended or terminated if you materially breach these Terms or applicable platform rules. On termination, you must stop using and remove unauthorized copies of the Game. Provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations, and disputes continue where legally appropriate.
13. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated to reflect Game changes, platform requirements, security needs, or law. The effective date above will be revised. Material changes will be communicated through the Website, storefront, or Game update where appropriate. Changes do not reduce rights that have already accrued under mandatory law.
14. Applicable rights and disputes
These Terms do not deprive you of mandatory rights under the laws of your country of residence. Before beginning formal proceedings, please use the public support contact shown on the storefront to give the developer a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. You may also have access to local courts, consumer-protection authorities, or alternative dispute-resolution procedures.
15. Contact
For questions about these Terms or the Game, use the public support contact shown on the storefront where you obtained it. For payment, refund, or store-account questions, contact the relevant storefront provider directly.
